Inferno Legend (IL) is a 3D fantasy RPG/MMO, played in the browser. Upon assuming a role based on one of the five demon classes, players pledge their loyalty to the dark lord and strive to drive ‘the just’ from the instanced game world. IL features a nice story that pertains to the biblical ‘creation wars’ between the good and the never-well-to-do angels. Right off the bat interesting combat features are introduced, like the Faith variable that gives players an edge depending on how the dark lord is disposed towards them. The excitement wanes, however, upon realizing that the combat can be controlled in a very limited manner. Furthermore, even if alliances can be formed and PvP is available, player interaction is scarce—this might have to do with IL being a mobile title as well. Even though the storyline is short-lived, additional challenges are available to players wanting to spend more time in-game. Overall, IL could definitely become a more lovable title. It does have the trappings of one at least, boasting vivid graphics, a unique storyline and some quirky innovations. As of now, however, it falls short of players’ expectations with the UI problems, bland combat and complete lack of player interaction.See Videos

Infinite Crisis is a MOBA set in the DC universe. As of now it features 20 heroes with four active skills as well as one passive skill, but many more are sure to be added as the game matures. What’s interesting is that in IC there are some game modes altogether new to MOBAs. For example, the map called Gotham Heights has a cannon for spawning drones (the cannon can be used strategically to great effect); maps have destructible stuff in them, which allows for building hidden pathways; and so on. However, Infinite Crisis is still very much rough around the edges. For example, different items look alike, which makes shopping confusing and slow. There are of course balancing issues and occasional bugs. But what we have here looks promising, and especially promising to those who like playing superheroes.See Videos

Infinite Realms is a sci-fi themed MMO strategy game, played through Facebook. Players have to build production structures, upgrade their outposts, train troops and recruit heroes to conquer new areas, build alliances and fight both player and computer enemies (mobs). Although the game doesn’t offer much originality, it is the sci-fi setting that has its appeal. If you’re one for stories, the game offers "mission text" for each mission you’re given, and the missions are daily. Infinite Realms is by no means a game that could earn the title for ‘most innovative Facebook game’, but it’s playable and has a somewhat small but friendly community.

Infinity Wars is a MMO collectible card game (CCG) that was crowd funded via Kickstarter. As far as the game format goes, IW has the standard trappings of a CCG, offering seven card decks, each of a distinct faction and requiring a distinct play style. It features several innovative card game mechanics that make it stand out from the pack. Furthermore, IW boasts a single player mode that eases players into the game’s intricacies that can take quite some time to master—however, the fact that they’re there makes it much more interesting in the long run. The combat is powered by a zone system where you have to be careful to balance and move the cards through different zones, featuring a ‘command zone’ where you can place cards to start the game with. Lastly there’s a morale stat that depletes as cards are destroyed, thus discouraging mindless burning of cards. Infinity Wars is a better CCG than most, some say even better than Hearthstone. It looks and plays great with vibrant card animations that come alive in 3D. Its mechanics ensure that IW has a staying power, and overall the game can certainly be deemed a success, especially given that the developers aren’t a billion-dollar company.See Videos

Island Forge is a creative isometric MMO with strategy and RPG elements. Players build their own islands, create quests and explore other players’ islands as well as complete quests for XP and resources. The concept is similar in some ways to Minecraft, but this is truly a unique game. Although created by a single developer, Island Forge is richly detailed, with ambitious expansion plans in the works. The game's graphics aren't cutting edge, but sometimes you can witness true beauty hidden in its isometric tiles and especially in the creative and sometimes bizarre player-made quests.See Videos

King’s Road is a browser-based dungeon crawler MMO by Rumble Games. It brings the experience of titles like Diablo and Torchlight to the browser in a beautiful 3D environment. King’s Road is amazing right off the bat. Players enter into a world of chaos and distress and left-click their way around by unlocking new skills, merchants, achievements and crafting features. And of course, getting heaps upon heaps of loot is also an integral part of it. The game world is instanced not real-time, having the player travel to hubs and dungeons from the main city. King’s Road sports the three staple classes – wizard, archer, knight – and an intricate skill tree for each. Classes can be switched in-game. Players craft items by giving them to a blacksmith; this does provide an incentive not to sell everything, but it’s also very slow. Upon death players simply wait for revival, but some dungeons will kick out a player after their third death. Social features are abundant (co-op is available even with strangers) and maps have replay value—in fact, replaying is highly encouraged—as completion of a level awards premium currency. Overall, if you had the slightest bit of fun playing Diablo, Torchlight, Nox, or any other such game for that matter—do play King’s Road. It’s nothing short of amazing.See Videos

Kingdom Rift is a browser-based MMORPG from R2Games. It features a vivid and beautiful fantasy world that’s dulled by autocombat and a lack of real challenge. As it is with R2 titles, the first thing to ask is whether there’s something unique to find here. As you reach level 20 (in ten minutes or so), you start to see that there isn’t, but it isn’t all bad either. Even though stuff is being thrown at the player for no good reason—you acquire a mount in, like, three minutes—and you can run around clicking ‘Accept’ and ‘Hand in’ and watch your character level up just like that, Kingdom Rift is also beautiful and atmospheric. There’s also some sense of progress as players play through the story in seven stages. Strategy isn’t that important as combat can be computer-controlled, plus it’s decided mostly by battle rating, which for all practical purposes replaces a character’s stats. Kingdom Rift is better than the average R2 game. Whether it makes it fun enough to play, that’s up for debate. You should, however, at least take a look at it if you liked Diablo and like watching your character grow, even if you don't play much of a role in the process.See Videos

Browser based strategy war game set in a fantasy setting. There is also an app for your iPhone or iPad. What sets this strategy game apart is the player-versus-environment quests so you aren’t required to continually battle other players for extra gold that you need to build your production buildings (which aren’t cheap to set up). You resources are primarily gold, trained combatants and spies. Use your spies to Scout your enemies defenses, Steal gold, or Assassinate enemy troops while they are sleeping. Real-time attacks and espionage take place in the form of a live news feed, allowing you to respond quickly to actions taken against you. Choose your allies wisely and join a clan for safety. Kings and Legends
Kings and Legends is a card trading game with some city building elements. It’s played in the browser. Players start with a measly deck and try getting new, better cards to duke their opponents with. Four classes and card types add greatly to the game’s diversity—and so does the lane fighting system. There’s also a storyline that can keep you interested, especially since you can get new cards in story-related PvE. The game’s city building aspect is important as it can help you get better cards. Group battles are available as well in addition to regular PvP card duels. Each player has a hero that can use skills, and the game is over once one of the heroes is dead. The game manages to mix RPG, strategy and card game elements into one coherent mass. High-level players will have to compete for godlike cards, which are very rare unless bought.See Videos

Kings Era is an MMO strategy game with cash prizes. Choose a resource-specific class and endow your city with buildings, troops and heroes. Kings Era has some quirky innovations that spice things up—building times are slow, but you can level up your heroes with board games or hunting (it’s in 3D! 3D!) while you’re waiting. The main emphasis here is on competition as servers last for up to 9 months until a winner surfaces. If you’re lucky you can loot barbarian camps and cash in rare items. Alliances are allowed and encouraged but at a certain point you’ll be left to your own devices. Paying players will have much better odds to score some treasure and perchance even battle for the grand prize. However, if you can convince some friends to join, who knows—maybe it’s friendship, not money, that has a better chance in Kings Era.See Videos

KingsAge is a strategy MMO set in medieval times. Players take control of a village, expand, form an army, and gain loyal followers to make a name for themselves in the world. This strategy plays similarly to Ikariam or Tribal Wars, but KingsAge doesn’t seem nearly as populated, and the beginning of the game feels somewhat slow. Just like in the games mentioned, players can hold quite a number of villages -- the management of which can get a little time consuming. To do the game justice, however, it should be noted that KingsAge, with all its weaknesses, is a fun war strategy where collaboration (and other, more violent forms of interaction) with other players becomes more rewarding past the slow start.See Videos

Knight’s Fable is a browser-based MMORPG set in an anime-inspired fantasy world. It features a rich game world and a rather casual gameplay. The game features four classes, two for each sex, but the character can be changed later on while keeping the stats. Knight’s Fable requires the player to click for quests and skill upgrades (as well as the various side activities like fishing, clearing dungeons, and escorting cargo), but the rest of the game happens automatically. Most of the player’s success is based on the Battle Rating, gained by leveling up or finding/enchanting equipment. The story, once it eases out of the numerous damsel-in-distress scenarios, actually captivates and is light enough not to overwhelm. Of course social features like pets, parties and the likes are featured here as well. Even though one might deem Knight’s Fable to be a needless addition to a vast array of similar games, it’s actually better than most of the pack. The story is decent, the game doesn’t push you to buy anything, and last but not least there’s just an abundance of things to do.See Videos

League of Angels
League of Angels (LoA) is a browser-based fantasy MMORPG with turn-based combat and ridiculously beautiful artwork. Players choose from one of two classes and walk about to get to know the game’s mechanics and the eclectic lore of the League of Angels world, helping angels regain their former glory by setting them free from the dark forces that haunt them. The freed angels become valuable battle companions. There’s an abundance of things to do (crafting, quests, dungeons and PvP), and although the combat cannot be controlled in the battlefield, a good formation can beat a stronger opponent. At later levels, however, players may find that they cannot do much daily besides two or three quests, all due to an annoying stamina system. For what it’s worth, LoA also sports detestable amounts of fan service. On the one hand, LoA plays just like Wartune and similar titles, the likes of which have sprung up like mushrooms after heavy rainfall; on the other, it has some interesting features like the boss board games. Plus the PvP is quite exciting, as are the graphics. LoA might very well prove to be a disappointment, but it does have its strong points.See Videos

Lord of Ultima (LoU) is a surprisingly fun strategy MMO, played in the browser. The story isn’t much, but its fantasy setting does hold some allure. The game starts with you holding a city with a set amount of resources, and using them efficiently is a hard task. LoU isn't especially original, as the basic gameplay isn’t different from similar games – Evony, Ikariam, and others -- at all. However, the game is full of opportunities for clever strategic tricks, for example, with the city layout or the army unit mix. The military strategy is thought-through and adds further depth to this game which can indeed become more than a simple time-sink.See Videos

Lost saga is a fighting/action MMO with cartoony graphics (think of Team Fortress 2 meets FMA) and an awesome, hectic gameplay. There are eleven game modes and over 50 playable heroes now, each with their own skills. You can level your heroes up and buy weapons for them. The developers eventually want to raise the hero count to 100. Some of the game modes are particularly fresh: soccer; crusade (dungeon PvE mode); and prison mode (‘catch me if you can’). The arenas are well-made and with their own quirks, and combat offers a lot of fun. Altogether, Lost Saga offers more than simple entertainment; other fighting MMOs, as fun as they might be, cannot compete with Lost Saga’s character/arena count and thus are much more likely to become boring in the long term.See Videos
