Rappelz
Rappelz is a fantasy-themed MMORPG. The game has a vast class system; players can choose from three classes � mage, warrior, and archer � three jobs and two �sub-jobs� for each job. The graphics are okay, but landscapes and cities lack detail. Rappelz has a developed pet system with pet skills and transformations. The combat is nice, and it gets more interesting as the character�s level increases. The quests, however, are dull from the very beginning, and steer towards grinding rather than advancing the story at all. Rappelz is very PvP-centric and that�s the most challenging aspect of the game; players can attack other players even from their own faction, and things become rather intense on PvP servers where players can sometimes be looted upon death.

AKA Regnum Online, Realms Online is a fantasy themed MMORPG. Choose your hero from three realms that battle each other tirelessly. Six classes and nine races to choose from; classes are race-dependent. A unique aspect of the game, Realm vs. Realm play, takes place in the �war zone� of the map where realms engage in war games, trying to capture their foes� forts and castles to get bonuses for their realms or corrupt others for a time. Well-written lore and a massive game world. The graphics are rather outdated however, with landscapes often lacking in detail. The start seems slow, but the pace picks up on levels past 10, once you�re ready for PvP and have gotten used to the somewhat complex combat.

RIFT is very complete for a new online game (especially the class and skill system), and, although not aspiring to be something ground breaking, the game offers an experience that rivals most similar games out there.

Rise of Mythos
Rise of Mythos (RoM) is a fantasy MMO trading card game. It has a total of four classes � mage, ranger, warrior and priest � and boasts a friendly user interface with cartoony graphics. The tutorial helpfully and gradually introduces the four-lane, turn-based combat, which is surely the best thing about RoM, ND features seven card types of different elements along with hero items and card desk assembly. Two maps are available to the player: the story map and the city map. The story map is for leveling up and exploring while the city map hosts PvP and the card auction house. The numerous social features in this game are helpful in making friends. An extra degree of complexity is added with strategy-game-like upgrades to your town hall and buildings. Of course, this all comes with a price�it�s free to play, but scaling the heights is next to impossible without paying. The current version of Rise of Mythos, called 火焰征程, is only available with Chinese text. However, the RiseOfMythos subreddit has a pinned post to a patch that replaces most of the text.

Royal Quest
Royal Quest is a fantasy-themed MMORPG similar to Ragnarok Online. It�s developed by the people behind Space Rangers and King's Bounty. Players set off on a colorful adventure in the world of Aura, choosing from four classes with two sub-classes each, selected when the player reaches level 20. The game gets quite challenging at later levels, to the point where a single monster can easily take the player out. To counter that, there�s a cool guild system where guilds level up as well, bestowing various bonuses on their members. There�s also open-world PvP where you get some of the slain enemy�s loot. Sideline activities like herb gathering, crafting and the likes are abundant, and there are fun PvP modes like castle sieging to be found in Royal Quest. The combat strongly echoes that of Ragnarok Online, and that�s of course both a good and a bad thing, depending on whether you enjoyed that game. Royal Quest definitely has many good things going for it: the cash shop seems fair; the actual world is beautiful even if the mobs don�t stand out as particularly unique, and the social features are implemented with a degree of originality. However, it does tend to get tedious in later levels, and for the game having �quest� in its name, the quests are surprisingly uninspired. Better team up with someone or prepare to be bored, sooner or later.

Shadowbound
Shadowbound is a browser-based MMORPG by R2Games. It has a casual touch, meaning most of the game can be played through automatically. Players choose a male or female character, having picked their character class from the holy trinity of RPGsMage, Warrior, Hunter (Archer)and enter the colorful world of Shadow bound. Players can hire mercenaries and later on can be accompanied by powerful guardians. PvP opens at level 31, featuring 3v3 and 8v8 arenas with... automatic combat. Players supplement their Battle Rating the main measure of success with gear and talismans, the acquisition of which is quite fun. There are many things to do on the side as well: players engage in trivia games, and if not successful theyre turned into an alpaca; the social aspects are well-developed; and overall theres just a lot to do in Shadowbound. The interface can get cluttered at times, but on the flip side theres a button to remove player models from the screen. Shadowbound features solid performance throughout, and if not for titles like Wartune, it could be seen as the game that reaches closest to the Platonic ideal of the genre. The casual gamer will find nothing particularly unique in Shadowbound, but nothing particularly disappointing as well.

Shadowland Online is a strategy MMO with RPG elements. Humankind has been all but annihilated by the undead that have entered through a break in space, and it is up to -- of course -- the player to save humanity. The story is nice actually, and combines real history with fiction: for example, you can win over the Spartan hero Leonidas as a quest reward. Choose from three races and three main unit types; build up your city; form alliances, and, finally, muster up enough strength to get rid of the undead once and for all. Lots of social features and some in-game events also help. Although the game is somewhat complicated once youre out of the tutorial, it is very rewarding in the later levels, and is surprisingly fun.

The servers are densely populated, and the world offers a great number of quests and PvP opportunities. Shaiya has a dark, somewhat cryptic atmosphere, and the graphics aren�t bad at all. What sets Shaiya apart is the character leveling: players are able to select their leveling pace at character creation. Players with faster leveling will have weaker characters in the end, but this feature ensures that casual gamers will have fun playing Shaiya, too.

Browser-based massively multplayer RPG. Adventure in a large game world which looks and feels very similar to Diablo. You have to click to move (no arrows or W-A-S-D option). A browser-based MMORPG, Shards of the Dreams (SOD) takes players to a fantasy world, which they can explore from an isometric perspective. Choose from two factions (surprisingly, "the empire" is the good side in this game) as well as four classes, complete engaging quests, compete in instances, engage in PvP and try to get better gear. The game is strikingly similar to some well-known titles, with perhaps Diablo and Ultima Online being the most obvious examples. That is not to say that SOD has no merits of its own. The developers have done their best to make quests more diverse than in similar games, and the graphics have a special feeling to them as well. There is, however, very little information available about many of the games features, such as crafting, PvP and dungeons.

Siegelord is a MMO Strategy with RPG elements. It�s set in a medieval fantasy universe where the player�s kingdom has come under attack. It�s up to you to fend off the attacks and expand at the same time. There are three factions to choose from, and they all have some vaguely unique characteristics. Combat can be controlled, and, although having more troops is what usually counts, strategy can in fact make it or break it during battle. PvP, an integral part of the game, opens up pretty late, but you�ll be kept busy with instances and quests until you can find some real enemies. Battles are faction-based. As far as production value goes, Siegelord looks and feels and plays great. There�s even a community radio, which accepts players� requests. Siegelord is definitely trying to do something unique, and even though the game doesn�t succeed at some things�like the rather hazy storyline or the mindless clickety-click-click of the early-to-mid game�it�s definitely a refreshing title you�re likely to enjoy.

Skyforge is an action-oriented, sci-fi 3D MMORPG developed by Mail.ru's Allods Team and Obsidian Entertainment. The game sports a third person camera view and features swift and visceral combat. New players start the game by choosing one of the three starter classes. An additional ten classes can be unlocked based on the player's progression. Players can freely switch between available classes, eliminating the need to make multiple alt characters. Progression in Skyforge follows a non-traditional route as there are no levels and experience points. Instead, players improve their character and class by advancing through stat and skill increasing "node grids" similar to that of Path of Exile's skill tree and console game Final Fantasy X's Sphere Grid system. Unlocking these nodes requires resources acquired from quests and dungeons. PvP modes – FFA, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Payload Race – also reward resources. Equipment is also a big factor, with the best gear dropping in harder instances and raid encounters. A seasoned immortal eventually gains worshippers and temples in their honor, and these provide stat boosts as well. The combination of these elements is the player's Prestige rating, which determines their potential strength and the content they can access. All in all, Skyforge is an enjoyable combat-oriented 3D MMORPG with considerable polish and depth. The graphics and music are a big plus as well, though, sometimes optimization issues abound. The game's weekly resource caps can be a major turn-off to hardcore players, though.

Star 86 is a childrens MMO played in the browser. The game starts with the player creating her or his own cute avatar called a Dubble, which can be customized at any time. Creativity, especially musical creativity is emphasized in this game where players explore the galaxy of Star 86 in a starship, collecting souvenirs and usable music instruments all while making their own home in the game world. There are numerous planets in the galaxy to explore, each hosting its very own mini-game. These harmless games include hide-and-seek, cowboy games, racing, etc. The community is closely moderated and the chat has a swearing filter. On top of that a number of parent lock features are available, such as setting a bedtime, a daily playing limit, and so on.

StormFall: Age of War
StormFall: Age of War is a browser-based strategy MMO similar to Travian. Players enter the war-stricken world of Darkshine and perpetuate the chaos by waging war against other players. StormFall has the player start in an empty, barren field and fill up the city with buildings. Players are guided by quests that introduce the games mechanics; the quests are presented by a rather witty, well-voiced character, and players are given an abundance of the games premium currency, Sapphires, for completing them. The usual elementsresearching new technologies and unit types, as well as fighting other players in abstract, non-controllable battlesof such strategy games are found in abundance here as well. The premium currency doesnt mess with StormFalls flow: many premium items are level-locked so no one can get too far ahead just by paying; furthermore, Sapphires can be acquired by subscribing to useful services like Netflix. StormFall doesnt seem to quite hit the mark in terms of its visual presentation, and the music integration is frankly bizarre as soundtracks change as you go from one menu to the next, but still theres good reason to believe that many will enjoy this already quite popular strategy game.

Stronghold Kingdoms
Stronghold Kingdoms is a strategy MMO set in medieval times. The game is a �village/castle� simulator where players compete to become known in the game world. Players construct buildings, fortify their castles, expand their armies, explore the wilderness through various quests, and loot rival player villages for resources. A sizeable game world along with quests ensure that there�s always something to do, and rank and technology advancements add even more variety to this fun, yet complex game. Social elements are plentiful and aspire to hold some degree of realism: for example, players with higher ranks can recruit others to become their vassals, reflecting the feudal system in the Dark Ages. The game is somewhat slow, however, with a rather bold emphasis on playing paid �cards� that speed things up.

Swords and Potions is a Flash shop keeping simulator. Players become the owners of a small shop and sell RPG wares like scrolls, potions and weapons, striving to find new recipes, hire new underlings and obtain rare stuff by sending customers on quests. This colorful game sports fairly complex mechanics, giving players the ability to expand, hire new workers to create new products and even create or move to privately-owned cities. Although it costs gold to buy everything, resources like Shop Fame and Affinity will determine much of players success in the long run. Trading is a huge part of the game, and the auction house is busy all the time. Longer quest chains and dungeons are there as well, allowing players to obtain rare resources and recipes. Swords and Potions 2 is definitely an interesting game. The graphics are rather generic and the soundtrack boring, but the mere idea of becoming a stall owner (the game is basically you becoming an NPC) in your favorite RPG certainly holds some allure.
