Runes of Magic is a MMORPG, set in a fantasy world, graphically similar to that of WoW. There are eight classes and two races – elves and humans – to choose from, and each character can have a sub-class at lvl 10. The sub-class has to be leveled up separately. Quests are plentiful and intertwine with the story very well – players will almost never have to simply kill 20 desert rats for a quest, because most of the quests are connected with the story. There’s a peculiar ‘rune system’ that rewards players with stats when runes are collected. PvP play is very developed in Runes of Magic, both in instances and open-world, with players sometimes dropping items when slain by another player. Free, with option to pay for additional features. |
