A Mystical Land is a browser-based MMORPG that raises the bar for Facebook RPGs. Choose from four classes and set off to explore the vast game world. The game’s quests are dynamic, and NPC dialogue is quite funny; however, the real treat is the vast crafting/profession system – you can actually play the game without killing any mobs… and make a bunch of stuff in the process! Players can also get achievements and rewards for doing them. The game’s graphics are nice and cartoony, but there can be performance issues in the city. A Mystical Land is admittedly directed towards casual gamers, but the game world is engrossing and vivid enough to offer something for the more serious players, too.

NosTale is a fantasy MMORPG with flashy anime graphics. There are four character classes – adventurer (default), swordsman, archer, and sorcerer; you can only select a class when you reach level 15. NosTale isn’t a particularly catchy tale, but quests add to the story, unlike in so many other games. The game has an awesome pet system – you can capture mobs when they are down to low HP, level together with them, and use them in combat. You can build your own house, buy furniture, and invite friends to visit. Combat in NosTale is rather uneventful; PvP is interesting, though. If you like games with a style akin to that of Ragnarok, you’ll like NosTale.

You can buy PvP bonuses with real money, though. Warriors Saga also has a nice party system with, it seems, group quests being the number one priority. Wizard 101 is a colorful MMORPG designed for kids. There are seven classes which are actually different branches of magic the new wizard can choose from -- Fire, Ice, Storm, Myth, Life, Death, and Balance. The game world is humorous and filled with witty quests. Wizard 101 features parent accounts that allow parents to control their children’s accounts; for example, parents can disable incoming messages for their child's account. The combat is card-based and requires a lot of strategy as it’s important to get a well-balanced card deck. Altogether, Wizard 101 offers a great experience even for gaming veterans, but the paid features offer too much content for “pure Free2Play” to be viable. The game’s a great gift if your kids fancy Harry Potter.
